Marco Gantenbein - Managing Director Private Clients
Marco Gantenbein, Managing Director and Partner at Swiss Insurance Partners, is an insurance specialist with extensive knowledge and experience of international health insurance solutions as well as Swiss annuities and life insurance.
After completing Zurich Business School and training at a leading Swiss insurance company, he lived and worked abroad. As one of the co-authors of the Switzerland Business & Investment Handbook, he contributed the chapter on Swiss Annuities and Life Insurance. He is also the author of many articles on international health insurance as well as regarding Swiss annuities, which have been published in the Swiss and international media. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds an unrestricted license from the Swiss Government to act as an independent insurance broker. Martin Bühler - Managing Director Corporate Clients
Martin Bühler is an international insurance and employee benefit specialist and since 2007 Managing Director for corporate insurance solutions at Swiss Insurance Partners AG.
After obtaining his law degree at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, he started his international insurance career as an employee benefit consultant at Generali Switzerland. In 2000 he joined the international division of Swiss Life, one of the leading international employee benefits network. As an employee benefit specialist he advised multinational companies in the Benelux, France and Switzerland. Later he accepted the challenging position of sales manager for CIGNA International, one of the world’s largest expatriate insurance companies. In this function he contributed substantially to the establishment of the CIGNA branch office in Switzerland. Moreover he was also responsible for the market development and all sales activities of CIGNA in France. During this period he also received his Federal Diploma as Certified Financial Planning Expert. Furthermore, as lecturer in labour law seminars he also proved his considerable expertise in the complex field of Swiss social security law and regulation. He is also the author of different articles concerning his field of practice, and Mr. Bühler is fluent in German, English and French.
Christian H. Kälin - Director and General Counsel
Christian H. Kälin is a lawyer and estate-planning specialist handling legal issues within the context of annuity and life insurance.
After completing Zurich Business School and his training at a Swiss private bank, he lived and studied for many years in France, the USA, New Zealand and Switzerland. A holder of a cum laude Masters degree in law from the University of Zurich, he is a frequent writer and speaker on international legal issues and is regularly quoted in the international media. He is the editor and a co-author of the Switzerland Business & Investment Handbook. He is also a partner at Henley & Partners, Zurich, and a director of a Swiss investment management firm. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) as well as of numerous other professional organizations such as the IFA, ITPA, FIABCI, etc. He is also a director of the International Financial and Legal Network (IFLN) and holds an unrestricted license from the Swiss Government both to act as an independent insurance broker and a financial intermediary. Robert Ferfecki - Corporate Communications Manager
Robert Ferfecki is a communication expert with broad knowledge in all areas of marketing communication.
He completed his marketing studies in Zurich and Los Angeles and worked as an account executive in international communications agencies. He was then employed by a leading Swiss bank, where in the private banking department he was responsible sponsoring projects in the sports and culture sector as well as for special events for the executive board. In 2007 he joined SIP, where he is in charge of marketing and corporate communications. Mr. Ferfecki is fluent in German, English, French and Czech.
Dr. Wouter H. Muller - Director
Dr. Wouter H. Muller is a lawyer and trust specialist focusing on international estate planning and compliance issues.
After obtaining his doctorate in civil law at the Law School of Groningen University in 1971, he worked as a solicitor in the Netherlands for 10 years. He then joined a Dutch merchant bank in the Netherlands and Luxembourg, becoming a director of their Luxembourg trust company and subsequently managing director of their trust company in the Netherlands Antilles. He then became director of a private bank in Luxembourg, where his responsibilities included trust operations. After this, Dr. Muller joined the bank's Zurich office and was later appointed managing director of the trust office in Zug. He joined SIP as a director and head of compliance in 2006. Dr. Muller is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is fluent in English, Dutch, German and French.
Dr. André Herrmann - Director
Dr. André Herrmann is a specialist in expatriate planning and focuses on international health insurance as well as PR and media relations.
Having lived and worked for many years in Spain and Latin America, he has acquired a wealth of expertise in all issues concerning expatriates, especially in international health insurance and relevant questions of cross-border planning. He has published numerous articles on these topics in the Swiss and international media, where he is frequently quoted. He is also a lecturer in Spanish language and culture at the University of Zurich. As a director of Swiss Insurance Partners AG, he focuses specifically on the company's public relations and media issues, in particular overseeing all its publishing activities. Maehala R. Nathan - Senior Consultant
Maehala R. Nathan is an insurance specialist with extensive expertise and experience in international health and life insurance solutions.
Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she completed her secondary education in New Zealand and went on to study science at the University of Auckland. After graduating, she traveled extensively in Asia and Europe and finally settled in Switzerland, where she married. Over the last 6 years she has specialized in international health insurance as well as Swiss annuities and life insurance for global clients. Ms. Nathan is a member of the International Financial and Legal Network (IFLN) and holds an unrestricted license from the Swiss Government to act as an independent insurance broker. She is fluent in English, Malay, Indonesian and German.
